Quick update on Aubry
Well the recovery for Aubry has been really rough. At times we joked around that the boys were doing better than she was. This week she had her 6 week check-up and we got some scary news. Aubs has had some serious pain and major cramping and all the other fun stuff with being a girl. The doctors discovered through an ultra sound that there were pieces of the placenta still inside Aubry from the delivery. They gave us a worst case scenario and said it looked like we might have to do an emergency hysterectomy. We were a little worried. The next day we met together with the doctor who would be performing the procedure and she set our minds at ease and told us that she felt pretty confident a simple Dilation and Curettage (DandC) would be all we need to remove the remaining placenta fragments and be all right. Well they set the appointment for the next morning Friday October 24th and we were there. The hospital was hopping at 6:00 a.m. when we got there and they got her all ready and they went to town. It took about an hour in surgery and was a total success. We got to come home later that afternoon and she has been feeling a lot better since then.

I am glad to hear the surgery was a success. Very frightening. The 3 peas in a pod are adorable in their costumes (it reminds me of Bryson last year - him and the boys were about the same age). We took him to the neighborhood trunk or treat too - although Rick ate most of the candy...Nothing like a newborn in the house!
